Last April 13, I was lucky enough to get invited for the opening of the SM Stationery Art Fest. It was timely because I haven't been to events for quite sometime and I didn't know who to expect there which makes it even more exciting.
SM Stationery products welcomed us! Look at those cute notebooks and pens! I tried my best to resist the cuteness and went on to check out the other stations. (P.S. I failed and went back to get a couple of pens before we decided to eat lunch hehe :p)
Free art for everyone! Participants are encouraged to complete the big coloring walls by Pentel, Faber, Titus and Ifex Paper. A lot of people participated even kids and cute grandmas! It was so nice to see the artworks come to life.
First stop! Pentel Arts booth, the team encourages everyone to let their creativity flourish. The brand has been a while for quite sometime now and I vividly recall using their oil pastels and rubbing them with my hands to blend the colors then regretting afterwards because it was hard to remove with soap and water. Haha highschool memories!
Second stop: iFex Paper booth: I was really looking forward to meet with Kathryn and talk about papers. I think i spent most of my time at their booth geeking over paper swatches and anything paper related. I wanted to have a papercut done by Wednesday but i forgot to come back. So proud of this girl! I met her during Type Kita 3 and since then, I know she'll go places with her art.
Last stop: Titus Pens booth, I wasn't able to roam around and take pictures because I was busy observing and quietly fangirling on how the Doodle Arts Enthusiast group create their masterpiece with just a pen. I know i'm sometimes guilty of having excuses that I cannot make the work I want because I have limited materials but these people can draw anything and turn anything into art with just the mighty pen. Mad talent, I tell you!
And of course, I wasn't able to resist leaving my "mark" before heading out to my other commitments that day. This one is at iFex Paper's coloring wall and I used a Titus pen to color the piece. :)
Overall, the event was super fun! I got to spend the day with my art titas and get to take home tons of art materials. It felt like Christmas morning :)
Now off to make art with my new materials! Thank you, SM Stationery :)
